Job Title: Winder 

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
 Location: Chicago, IL
 Pay: $17.25 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Winder Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for winding (torquing) together components with taper pipe threads and ensuring the proper assembly of finished products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with both manual and automatic tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wind (torque) together components with taper pipe threads to complete the final product.

• Visually inspect component parts for defects before and during the winding process.

• Ensure proper alignment of components and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications.

• Follow written and verbal work instructions to complete winding operations efficiently.

• Utilize manual tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers) and automatic hand tools (e.g., air screwdrivers, impact wrenches) to perform winding tasks.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in winding or a similar mechanical role preferred.

• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.

• Skilled in using both manual and automatic hand tools.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

• Ability to lift and handle materials as needed.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
