Location: Wood Dale, IL 

Pay: $25.00

Position type: Temp to hire 

Shift: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm

SUMMARY:
The Defense Warehouse Packaging Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of solicitations and other packaging reviews using in-house (ERP) systems and online platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for packaging reviews, questions, and compliance.

• Support the shipping department in the daily operations of packaging functions.

• Train new hires, organize workflow, identify priorities, and ensure the accuracy of packaging reviews.

• Ensure compliance with all corporate and departmental policies and procedures.

• Collaborate effectively with management, customers, and vendors at all levels.

• Participate in internal and third-party audits.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.

• Previous experience in warehousing, inventory handling, and barcoding equipment preferred.

• Experience with US Government contracting is a plus, but not required.

• Computer keypunch experience is essential.
