Position Title: Assembler
Temp-to-Hire position
Location: Elmhurst
Mon-Fri from 6am – 2:30pm occasional mandatory OT Saturday
Requirements: BG Check / Drug Test / E-Verify
Premier medical chiller and laboratory application manufacturer located in Elmhurst, IL is seeking an Assembler / Production associate to their team!

Skills:
Skilled at routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations
Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery
Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
Must have good eye/hand coordination
Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options
Effective oral,written and interpersonal skills
Ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external customer
Job Core Responsibilities
Performs a variety of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
Conducts inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing
Prepares lead wires,
Performs advanced test functions.
Shapes, connects and installs coils, solder, braze and fuse connections.
Performs advanced installation,
Performs marking and cleaning process,
May solder and assemble, electro-mechanical or mechanical assemblies/subassemblies using blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturing instructions to conform to quality specifications
May solder connections and electronic components to circuit boards
May use coating equipment.
May read calipers.
May use small hand and electric tools.
May clean and mark surfaces to indicate measurements.
Ability to be trained to use simple machines such as lathes, drill press and balance machines.
Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures
Other responsibilities as assigned
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Fit and braze copper tubing
Wire basic electrical components
Assemble brass fittings
Read piping and wiring schematics
Communicate issues in timely manner
Have excellent follow-through and follow up skills
Qualifications:
Mechanical skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Multi-tasking
Knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration systems a plus
