Pay: $17.00

Job Type: Long term/ temp-to-hire

Shift: Full-time 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarding Specialist to manage and optimize freight operations. The role includes processing claims, managing returns, coordinating flight accommodations, and ensuring seamless logistics handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage claims related to shipments, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

• Oversee the return process, coordinating with relevant teams to minimize disruptions.

• Collaborate with airlines and freight carriers to accommodate new flights and reschedule shipments as needed.

• Ensure all shipments comply with international regulations and company standards.

• Maintain accurate records and track shipments to provide updates to clients and stakeholders.

• Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain high service standards.

• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist the Freight Manager in overseeing daily freight forwarding activities and logistics operations.

• Support the scheduling and accommodation of new flight routes, working closely with airlines and freight carriers.

• Proactively identify operational issues and assist in developing effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• 2 – 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.

• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and processes.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

• Bilingual proficiency.(English & Spanish)
