Summary/Objective:
The Plant Manager will have experience in plastics extrusion as well as managing a team of
various departments in a manufacturing plant setting. Excellent planning and organization skills
with the ability to handle a multitude of projects independently coupled with managing a budget
and implementing business objectives will be required. This individual will also be responsible for
improving and conveying innovative ideas to existing products and processes and lead the
development of manufacturing processes for new products. This is a hands-on position with
responsibilities for Environmental, Health and Safety; Manufacturing, Accounting, Logistics,
Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Inventory, Materials and administrative operations of the
Manufacturing Facility.

Essential Functions
Provides leadership and direction to plant personnel.
Reviews day-to-day operations to ensure achievement of goals and execution of plant priorities.
Develops and leads cost and efficiency improvement efforts.
Creates talent development programs for each plant employee for continued personal development.
Achieves on-time delivery, quality, and safety goals.
Actively participates in development of annual business plan by initiating and managing
manufacturing strategic initiatives.
Manages the development and execution of manufacturing processes to support high-quality, lowcost
objectives.
Involved in many aspects of the product development program from concept through
commercialization, including plant trials, supporting product development and sales field trials with
manufacturing and technical support for product launch.
Understands raw material markets to a level that allows us to maintain a competitive advantage.
Analyzes data for ongoing operations to provide direction on upgrades to improve quality and cost.

Physical Demands

demanding, it requires sitting for long periods of time, verbal and written communication skills,
and the ability to operate a computer and telephone.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle
or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and
stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The
employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to
50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Generally an office environment this position resides in a manufacturing/warehouse setting, with some
outdoor exposure during the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
Proper PPE will be administered. Employees will be frequently exposed to mechanical parts and vibration.

Qualifications Required:
BS in Plastics, Engineering, Management or other Business-related field.
Strong P&L and budgeting experience
Minimum of 8 years in a Manufacturing, Operations, or Plant manager’s role
Documented leadership experience
Business Central/Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
