Inside Sales Representative

Location:  Elgin, IL    
Pay Rate:  $70,000 to $80,000 plus 10% bonus based on performance
Type:  Direct Hire Opportunity
FLSA Status:  Exempt 

Summary Objective   
Performs daily sales support activities for our client’s sales division. Inside sales responsibilities include fielding incoming customer calls, lead qualification, generating quotations, fulfillment of product samples and literature requests. This role will be instrumental in supporting business growth, elevating customer service and the improving sales process. The position will also work closely with field sales and marketing teams on email campaigns, trade shows and other marketing Initiatives.
Essential Functions
  • Provide inside sales support for the client’s sales team.
  • Receive incoming customer calls ensuring a live response to each customer during normal business hours.
  • Perform initial basic qualifying of incoming phone calls and administrate the appropriate next steps.
  • Serve as product SME and technical resource for the client’s customers.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. 
  • Function as primary sales resource for remote satellite territories as identified by the sales director.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Communicates effectively with the sales team regarding sales objectives, challenges, and opportunities. 
  • Perform other such duties, appropriate to the role, as may be required by the client’s sales director.

Physical Demands
This position is not physically demanding, it requires sitting for long periods of time, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to operate a computer and telephone.   
Travel
Limited travel may include joint customer visits with RSM’s, trade shows or other sales appointments and events. 
Qualifications Required
  • 4-year degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of inside sales or customer service experience and or, 3 years of project management experience – preferably in a product manufacturing or construction related field.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, preferably including project management software.
  • Experience with CRM’s, preferably ActiveCampaign.
